I haven't see one sexist comment on here yet

Everyone refers to the tea lady as a lady

That could be equally deemed as sexist

Get a grip, people

Julie shouldn't have confronted the ref anyway, he should be setting an example to the players etc.

What he said was typical childish behaviour from a sexist lard head who should know better. :boohoo: ..and what we need to remember about "The PC Thing" is, does it affect the person its directed at?, if so, then its wrong. Simply that.

Pretty sure it was the same lass involved which led to Andy Gray and Richard Keys losing their big pay cheques at Sky Sports

Not so.

Sian Massey was the subject of Grey and Keys' wrath.

Last night's recipient was Amy Fearn.

Dont Know why he had a go at Lineswomen, Ref should have called it, my instant reaction was OMG that is a stonewall nailed on one, Thankfully Ref didnt see it that way.
BTW do you recall a lineswomen that Mcleish had a moan about two seasons ago??
All I recall is she had a sweet little bum, wish she would run the line in front of the old main stand every week!

KRO

Looks like a clear cut foul to me.

Why he directed his comments at the Assistant I haven't got a clue.

Unless the referee looks at you as an assistant he doesn't want your opinion and that far into the penalty area unless the referee is in the other half of the pitch is the Referee's area to control and make the decisions.

How the assistant could have been certain looking straight on from 40 yards through a crowded area when the referee is about 10 I'd never know.

When he says 'the lineswoman, or whatever she's called'....could that not be a reference to the fact anyone running the line is now classed as an assistant referee? What if he'd been speaking about a bloke, and said 'the linesman, or whatever he's called'?

'To a man, but not a woman' was in response to a loaded reporters' question, who obviously knew what he was doing. Emotions run high after the match, and those trying to whip up a frenzy and hang, draw & quarter Paul Jewell should hold their heads in shame.

Without wishing to hijack this thread, what about the comments of Diane Abbott last week when she posted on twitter that 'white people love to divide & rule'? That gets swept under the carpet, why? Because she's a woman? Because she's black?

Paul Jewell makes a reference that the assistant referee was female, that's it. He's a good football man, and those attempting to paint him as some misogynistic sexist are out of order.

NB: It looked like a penalty to me.

If by "good football man" you mean aging, knuckledragging, misogynistic neanderthal, you could well be right.
